Description: | The tracking task is usually performed autonomously by the help of computer vision. But this technique is not robust to certain environmental conditions as the dust or the smoke. Then, this report aims to design a small rover integrating a tracking system using the Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) method and to evaluate in what extend it could be relevant for space exploration. The TDoA is the combination of different frequencies to evaluate the distance between two mobile nodes. Ultra-sounds and radio frequencies operating at 40 kHz and 430 MHz respectively have been used in the project. |
