Description: | This report addresses the conceptual design of a feeder system for a sintering lunar 3D printer prototype that was created at the International Space University. In parallel, to improve the current knowledge on the Moon regolith and therefore enhance the conditions of future sintering on the lunar surface, thermodynamic studies are undertaken in order to find a suitable binding material to combine with the regolith. Furthermore, a concept for an experiment aiming to assess the behavior of molten regolith in microgravity conditions has been proposed. |
