Description: | During Spaceflights, Astronauts have to perform their activities and work in a highly unusual environment. Launches, landings and the challenge of spacewalks expose them to multiple stressors that affect their sleep cycle, moods, eating patterns and creates isolation. Music influences mood and human behaviors. Several studies explore the mechanism in which the musical experience is reflected in brain activity whether it is performing or merely listening to music. The results suggest that emotions and music are strongly linked. We intentionally use music to influence feelings, sometimes as a way to relieve stress, sometimes as a way to create new situations by expressing their thoughts. It is possible to see music influencing the audience during movies through marketing and advertising and, most relevant to this project, through therapy. |
