This report proposes to contextualize the Moon Village concept, distinguishing rationales for Moon
exploration overall and added values potentially permitted by the concept itself. Mostly, its objective is to question the concept’s ability to be translated into concrete actions within the decades to come. The governance, cooperation scheme, legal aspects and funding mechanisms will be discussed as main barriers to the Moon Village’s implementation. A questionnaire filled by many space professionals will lead to the examination of issues to be addressed and potential paths forward. |
