Description: | Taking inspiration from the original Golden Record created in 1977 to be included onboard both Voyager spacecraft, we set out to create our own contemporary version of such an interstellar message. How would it differ from the Golden Record? How might we imagine such an alien recipient? Which essential information should be told? Would it be wise to disclose our location? What message would we like to deliver to the audience here on Earth? How could we best represent humanity or even our home planet as a whole? Which materials and storage processes would stand the test of time and space? |
