Description: | The number of discovered extrasolar planets (exoplanets) has increased since the first confirmed discovery of such an object in the 1990s and since became a research priority among major international space agencies and many universities worldwide. The first part of the report describes EXO, the Exoplanet eXploration Organization which would provide a framework for an intercultural, international and interdisciplinary collaboration on exoplanetary research, education, and outreach. In the second part, the report describes UniQuE (United Quest for Exoplanets) mission which would be implemented to demonstrate the capabilities of a low-cost microsatellite in the characterization of exoplanetary. |
