The project was designed in three stages. The first stage was designed to give me the necessary background information in Earth, and Planetary Science, with an additional specialization in impact cratering. The next phase, a visit to Rieskrater, in Germany was designed to test my skills in the field, and seek the training of Dr. Gisela Posges, a specialist in the Geology of impact cratering. The final stage was using my gained knowledge and experience of impact cratering to create educational experiences for others. This would later happen with an interactive, educational exhibit at the March 13th, 2016 International Space University Open Day, and later as an assistant to the planning of the ISU April 1st professional Visit to Rieskrater.
This report discusses these phases, as well as the challenges and solutions to delivering a fruitful Individual Project.
