Description: |
This paper studies the ongoing development of crowdfunding platforms as a possible way to fund space projects and ventures, using a set of quantitative and qualitative data to explore the current status of alternate finance in space-related projects. The first part of the report is an analysis of the current framework surrounding crowdfunded space-projects.
The deliverable included in this report takes the form of a template to help future space crowdfunding creators in establishing the basis of a successful crowdfunding campaign. This template builds on the experience of previous campaigns, and a successful crowdfunding test campaign was put together to assess the quality of the template. The results of this test campaign are assessed in the present paper. The test campaign proved more successful than anticipated, raising more than its intended goal after two days out of its twenty days duration. |
